What a weekend. Wet. Wet. Wet.
A widespread two to four inches of rain fell across the region. Pockets of four to seven+ inches! That will put a dent in our drought.
The good news is that we are expecting mostly dry weather through Friday. I say mostly because there could be a few light showers dotting the weather radars today. Especially this afternoon.
Additional rain totals of a trace to 0.15″. Most areas will remain dry.
A dry cold front will push across the region Tuesday. A few clouds will accompany the front.
It will be mild this week. Widespread 70s. Perhaps a few 80-degree readings tomorrow and again on Thursday and Friday. Each night will be cool with patchy fog.
I am monitoring the Gulf of Mexico for another tropical system later this week into next week. Confidence in the details remains low. The National Hurricane Center gives the system a 50% chance of development.
NHC map.
I will keep an eye on it. I know many of you have fall break and are traveling to the southeast United States.
