PADUCAH, Ky. (News First) — Paducah Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Ty Copeland, who is wanted in connection with fentanyl trafficking following an investigation last week.

Detectives received information that Copeland was selling fentanyl and later observed a suspected drug transaction between Copeland and a vehicle driven by Karen Burgher. During a traffic stop, authorities discovered approximately 1,500 fentanyl pills, which led to Burgher’s arrest.

A subsequent search of the home where Copeland and Ashley Lastinger reside revealed additional fentanyl packaged for sale. Lastinger was arrested on Sept. 27.

Copeland is described as a Black male, 5’10”, weighing approximately 135 pounds. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact the Paducah Police Department at (270) 444-8550 or submit a tip through West Kentucky Crime Stoppers. Tips can also be sent anonymously by texting “50337.” A reward of up to $1,000 may be offered for information leading to an arrest or indictment.
