ST LOUIS (News First) – Simon Becher scored a goal in each half, Marcel Hartel had two assists, and St. Louis City breezed to a 3-0 shutout win over the Houston Dynamo Saturday night. St. Louis City is 8-12-13. Houston defender Franco Escobar was tagged with a red card in the 79th minute and the 14-10-9 Dynamo played a man down from there.
St. Louis City is currently 12th out of 14 teams in the MLS Western Conference with one game left to play in the regular season. City will be in Minneapolis on Saturday night, October 19th to play Minnesota United FC. St. Louis could gain a couple more positions in the standings with a win as FC Dallas is just a point ahead of City and Austin is 2 points ahead of St. Louis. The top 9 teams in each conference will make the playoffs.
