Beginning Thursday, October 10, no through traffic will be permitted on Minnich Avenue in Paducah. The roadway is expected to reopen to traffic Friday afternoon, October 11. Traffic will need to exit Minnich Avenue either toward Friedman Lane or toward North 36thStreet.
The contractor working for the City of Paducah, Harper Construction, will be installing a concrete pavement surface near 4030 Minnich Avenue. Over the summer at this location, two storm sewer pipes crossing the road were replaced with one large elliptical pipe and concrete headwalls to reduce erosion problems. The storm sewer work has settled allowing for a pavement surface to be installed.
Please use caution, watch for the work crews, and respect the traffic control devices.
