FARMINGTON, Mo. (News First) – Two multi-chamber of commerce ribbon cuttings are coming up soon in St. Francois County. One is for a business and the other is for a new public recreational area. Candy Hente is the executive director of the Farmington Regional Chamber of Commerce. She tells us about that first ribbon cutting.
“That will be at Amped Lifestyle at their new location in Park Hills at 600 St. Joe Drive with Michelle Smith and her crew,” Hente shares. “They have bungees that hang from the ceiling and a harness and then you get in there and you do all these cool moves and it’s low impact and you get a good workout. And so they have that available, they have products available, they have all different types of training. That’ll be the ribbon cutting and then their grand opening is November 2nd. So at 600 St. Joe Drive, so they’ll be there from 7 a.m. till noon and she’s offering 40% off of some of her classes. So definitely want to go by and check that out.”
And Hente tells about the second ribbon cutting coming in early November.
“Did you know that St. Francis County has a brand new park?” Hente asks. “They finished phase one on the park. It is located in Delosge at 198 Landfill Road. Phase one includes their trail system with asphalt trails and then three miles of clear wilderness trails, big river access, and so of course it’s great for walking and fishing and biking and exploring. And so this is the first official park that’s owned by the county.”
The October 29th ribbon cutting in Park Hills for Amped Lifestyle Fitness Studios’ new location will begin at noon. The grand opening for Owl Creek Park will start at 11 o’clock on November 2nd. Owl Creek Park, formerly known as Bone Hole, is open from daylight until dark.
