FARMINGTON, Mo. (News First) – St. Francois County voters will see a full election ballot when they go to the polls on Tuesday, November 5th.
“We’ll first take a look at the local races for US representative and District Eight incumbent Republican Jason Smith is being challenged by Democrat Randy McCallion and libertarian Jake Dawson for state Senator in District Three state representative Mike Henderson looking to advance. He’s the Republican. He is being challenged by Doug Halbert, the Democrat for state representative in District One 16. Incumbent Republican Dale Wright is being challenged by libertarian candidate Ethan Jones in district 117 for state rep. It is Republican Becky Lawbinger going up against Democrat Casey Cassidy and for ST Francis County Commissioner in District One Republican incumbent Kerry Buckley is being challenged by Democrat TJ Benoist and the city of Park Hills has a proposition on the ballot. It’s proposition asking to impose a one-fourth of one percent sales tax for providing continued revenue for the operation of the Park Hills Fire Department. It says if this proposition is approved, the city of Park Hills sales tax will remain unchanged. Now St Francois County residents will also be voting for contested races for the president of the United States for one of Missouri’s U.S. senator seats for governor of Missouri, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, state treasurer, and attorney general and ST Francis County residents will also be deciding a few questions whether or not they would like to retain certain judges in the state.
St. Francois County voters will also help decide five statewide constitutional amendments and one statewide proposition that will be on the ballot on Tuesday, November 5th.
