PADUCAH, Ky (News First) – Here are the activities organized by the City of Paducah and other groups to honor and celebrate veterans on Veterans Day, Monday, Nov. 11:

Sunrise Reveille: The Veterans Day Sunrise Reveille will begin at approximately 6:15 a.m. at Dolly McNutt Memorial Plaza, 301 S. 5th St. Reveille will be played, and the flag will be raised at sunrise, 6:29 a.m.

Veterans Day Awards and Opening Ceremony: An awards and opening ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. at Dolly McNutt Memorial Plaza. The event will include recognition of the Patriot Award winner, Distinguished Veteran, and the winners of the Paducah Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution Veterans Day Poster and Essay Contest. Applications are due by Oct. 24.

Veterans Day Parade: The Veterans Day Parade will begin at 11 a.m. at 6th and Washington streets. The parade will travel along 6th Street, turn right on Broadway, and head toward the riverfront. It will turn left on Water Street and disband at Jefferson Street. Applications to participate in the parade are due by Oct. 24.
