JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. (News First) – A Cedar Hill man is being held in the Jefferson County jail without bond after he was arrested Friday morning, but it was not without incident. 58-year-old Mark A. Delbrook had a warrant out for his arrest regarding a first-degree harassment charge he was facing. A news release from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department says Delbrook’s bond was revoked because he allegedly victimized multiple neighbors. A deputy, who had heard Delbrook had driven off from his home Friday morning, spotted his vehicle and pulled him over at Highway 30 and Executive Parkway, just outside the Scottsdale community. Delbrook stopped but ignored the deputy’s commands. Delbrook had apparently threatened deputies recently, so the deputy on the scene called in some help.

More deputies, a swat team, and crisis intervention specialists responded. The news release says the situation calmed and Delbrook was taken into custody with “minimal incident”. The news release also says rumors that have been posted on Facebook that police had shot Delbrook during the arrest are completely false. The news release goes on to say the SWAT team deployed a diversionary device to disorient Delbrook as they approached him but at no point were gunshots fired. A handgun with ammunition was found in Delbrook’s vehicle. Delbrook was taken to the local hospital to be evaluated but was expected to be released. He will then be taken to the county jail in Hillsboro.
