OTTAWA (News First) – The St. Louis Blues were crushed by the Senators Tuesday night in Ottawa. The final was 8-1. The Senators put up 3 in the first, 3 in the second and scored two more in the 3rd period. Blues backup goalie Joel Hofer got the start but he was lifted after 20 shots, after letting five go past him. Jordan then came on for the rest of the game and wasn’t much better. He let Ottawa’s last 3 goals into the net, stopping only 13 of 16 shots.

The game was delayed a half hour due to a power outage at the Canadian Tire Center. The Blue Note saw their record fall to 5-5-0, now 6 points behind the Central Division leading Winnipeg Jets. The Blues do get to escape from Canada but they don’t get to go home just yet. St. Louis is now in Philadelphia, regrouping, and preparing for a scary matchup against the 3-6-1 Flyers on Halloween night.
