PARK HILLS, Mo. (News First) – The Mineral Area College and Jefferson College women’s cross country teams could be 1 and 2 after the upcoming NJCAA Division III Cross Country Championships. The final national rankings were released this week and MAC is number 1 and Jefferson is number 3. The Lady Vikings had been the 2nd ranked team but fell one place in the polls. Between the two local teams is Harper College which is located in Palatine, Illinois. On the men’s side, MAC is sitting pretty, awaiting the championship race, ranked 6th in the country. The National Championship races for the men and women are scheduled for Saturday, November 9th in Richmond, Virginia.
