WASHINGTON COUNTY, Mo. (News First) – A man from Washington County is now facing 11 child sexual abuse-related felony charges, according to a news release issued by John Jones, the prosecuting attorney from Washington County.
Edward Henry Foster Jr. is charged with four counts of attempted child sex trafficking and seven counts of attempted enticement of a child. This is because of events that occurred between August 25th of 2024 through this past Wednesday, October 29th. The charges were filed after a police report made by the Houston, Texas-based group called Predator Poachers and the resulting investigation by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
The probable cause statements says the Richwoods man used Facebook Messenger to repeatedly attempt to sex traffic and entice a person he believed to be an 11-year-old Washington County girl. The attempts included Foster pressuring the victim to keep their relationship a secret, Foster instructed the victim to identify him as her brother-in-law if questioned, and asking if the victim’s mother would be mad with her being “raped” by him.
Prosecutor Jones said in his news release, quote “Child sexual exploitation has no place in our County or our world. I’m proud to say my office will always take a hard line against sexual predators”. End quote. Jones thanks and congratulates the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and the private citizens from Predator Poachers for their work bringing this case to us. If you have any other information about this case, call the Washington County Sheriff’s Office or the Washington County Prosecutor’s Office.”
