WRIGHT COUNTY, Mo. (News First) – Two Missouri poll workers are dead after multiple vehicles were swept away early Tuesday morning by flood waters. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says it happened around 4 a.m. in Wright County, located south of Laclede County and west of Texas County, just off ‘H’ Highway which is near Beaver Creek. The two that perished were in the same vehicle, a 70-year-old man and a 73-year-old woman, both from Wright County. At about 8:45 Tuesday morning, the two were found dead after they were discovered by a drone. The two were not in their vehicle. Two more individuals managed to swim themselves to safety once their vehicle was washed away. In all, emergency teams conducted six swift water rescues Monday night into Tuesday morning in Wright County Missouri.
