PERRY COUNTY, Mo. (News First) – A man from Perryville had to be flown to Barnes Hospital in St. Louis after striking a deer with their vehicle Sunday evening in Perry County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, it happened on Highway 61 at Perry County Road 908 when a 2005 Chevrolet 2500 driven by a 62-year-old man from Perryville struck the deer, which caused the truck to slide off the road, the vehicle struck an embankment which caused the driver to be thrown from the truck. The highway patrol says the man received moderate injuries.
