FARMINGTON, Mo. (News First) – Drought conditions have left Southeast Missouri. In fact, abnormally dry areas are just about nearly out of Southeast Missouri too. The only areas seeing abnormally dry conditions, according to the latest Drought Monitor Map released by the U.S.D.A., are the eastern two-thirds of Perry County, eastern Bollinger and northern and western Cape Girardeau counties, plus, the northwestern corner of Phelps County.
However, the drought is still in a good part of Missouri though. Moderate and severe drought continues from the Kansas City area south, all the way through western and southwestern Missouri. Also, seven counties in northeast Missouri are seeing moderate drought conditions and Atchison County in the far northwestern corner of the state also has moderate drought conditions.
