ST LOUIS (News First) – Brayden Schenn scored the go-ahead goal early in the third and Zack Bolduc scored twice as St. Louis downed the 12-7-1 New York Rangers 5-2 last (Monday) night. It was the coaching debut for Jim Montgomery. Montgomery was fired by Boston last Tuesday and he replaced Drew Bannister, who the Blues let go on Saturday.
Jordan Kyrou and Pavel Buchnevich also scored for the Blues. Joel Hofer made 27 saves in St. Louis’ win. The 10-12-1 Blues stay on the East Coast and will be in New Jersey tomorrow (Wednesday) night to face the 15-7-2 Devils.
