ST LOUIS (News First) – A 71-year-old Park Hills woman and 90-year-old Desloge woman were killed in a two-vehicle accident on I-55 in St. Louis County on Tuesday. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident happened on Northbound 55 at Mile Marker 196 when a 2015 Dodge Challenger driven by a 24-year-old St. Louis man rear-ended a 2023 Buick Envision SUV driven by a 58-year-old unknown person from Park Hills who had slowed down for traffic. The SUV ran off the road and struck a concrete barrier, killing both passengers. The driver received serious injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur. The Challenger driver received moderate injuries and was taken to Mercy South Hospital. Both vehicles received extensive damage.
