NEW YORK (AP) — President Joe Biden and his wife, Jill, have opened their final holiday season at the White House. The president on Monday issued the traditional reprieve to turkeys Peach and Blossom, who will bypass the Thanksgiving table and live out their days in Minnesota. First lady Jill Biden received the delivery of the official White House Christmas tree. The towering Fraser fir from a North Carolina farm will be decorated and go on display in the Blue Room in early December. The Bidens then traveled to New York’s Staten Island to celebrate “Friendsgiving” with U.S. Coast Guard members.
