JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. (News First) – A 55-year-old Imperial man received minor injuries after a four-vehicle pileup in Jefferson County on Tuesday (Dec 3rd). The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident happened around 7:35 am on Northbound I-55, south of Route Z when a Toyota Camry driven by a 23-year-old non-insured male slowed due to construction equipment entering the highway. A 1998 Chevy 1500 driven by a 55-year-old Sainte Genevieve man and a 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe driven by a 55-year-old Herculaneum man were driving too closely and rear-ended each other, causing a chain reaction into the Mercedes and Camry. No other injuries were reported.
