CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (News First) – A Perryville man is dead following a two-vehicle accident on I-55 in Cape Girardeau County yesterday (Mon). The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident happened on the interstate, nine miles north of Jackson when a 2003 Ford Ranger driven by the 29-year-old male ran off the right side of the road and rear-ended a 2003 Chevy Avalanche driven by an 18-year-old Cape Girardeau woman, causing the Ranger to overturn. A 28-year-old Perryville male passenger was seriously injured and taken to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. Both vehicles were totaled.
