HIGH RIDGE, MO (News First) – A High Ridge man is facing first-degree murder and armed criminal action charges for a Christmas Eve murder. The Jefferson County Prosector’s Office has filed charges against 61-year-old Harold E. Luster after investigators found probable cause that he retrieved a firearm from his residence and threatened another person before allegedly shooting and killing 26-year-old Kevin M. Ward of St. Louis after a disagreement on Tuesday.
Luster is in custody at the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Jail on a “no bond” warrant. The investigation continues.
