The Missouri Department of Conservation has set dates for the 2025-2026 deer and turkey hunting seasons. The dates were approved by the Missouri Conservation Commission at its meeting earlier this month in St. Charles.
For spring and fall turkey hunting, the spring youth hunt will be on April 12th and 13th. The regular spring turkey season will run from April 21st through May 11th of 2025. The fall archery turkey hunting season is set for September 15th through November 14th and November 26th through January 15th, 2026. Fall turkey season runs the entire month of October in open counties.
Archery deer season will be September 15th through November 14th, 2025, and November 26th through January 15th, 2026. For the firearms deer seasons, the early antlerless hunt for select counties will be October 10th through the 12th and the late antlerless season for select counties will be December 6th through the 14th.. The early youth deer hunt is November 1st through the 2nd with the late youth season, November 28th through the 30th. Regular firearms deer season will run November 15th through the 25th, the CWD hunt for specific counties is November 26th through the 30th, and the alternative methods deer season is scheduled for December 27th through January 6th of 2026.
The Conservation Commission also gave initial approval to recommendations related to chronic wasting disease in deer that would rescind the intrastate carcass transportation regulations for deer and other members of the deer family and that would establish carcass-disposal requirements for deer harvested in Missouri. The MDC will take public comment on this proposed change through March 20th at mdc.mo.gov.
