WHITLEY COUNTY, Ky. November 18, 2023. (NewsFirst) — The Whitley County Sheriff’s Department said they have found the body of 4-year-old Chloe Darnel.
The child was last seen in September.
In a Facebook post on Friday, the sheriff’s department said that two arrests have been made regarding the disappearance of 4 year-old Chloe Darnel.
Arrested were Twenty-four-year-old Brittany Slaughter and Thirty-four-year-old Aram Hayes, both of Williamsburg, Kentucky. They were both charged with murder, Abuse of a Corpse, and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
A body, believed to be that of Chloe Darnel, has been recovered and sent to the states medical examiner’s office in Frankfort, Kentucky for an autopsy and positive identification.
The Whitley County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by multiple law-enforcement agencies during the investigation including the Williamsburg Police Department, the Corbin Police Department, the Kentucky State Police, and the federal ATF. They were also assisted by Woodbine Fire & Rescue, the Corbin Fire Department, and the Whitley County Coroner’s Office.
Suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
