PADUCAH, Ky. (December 1, 2023) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans daytime closures along KY 94 in southwestern Fulton County between the City of Hickman and the Kentucky-Tennessee State Line on Monday and Tuesday, December 4 & 5, 2023.

The daytime closures are along KY 94 between mile point 7.47 at the KY 311 intersection, extending northeast to mile point 10.9 at the KY 1099 intersection.  The initial work will be immediately west of the Joe Parker Road intersection.

KY 94 will close promptly at 7 a.m., CST, each day.  The roadway is expected to reopen to traffic at 3:30 p.m., each day.

There will be no marked detour.

Following the closures on Monday and Tuesday, motorists should be alert for rough pavement signs as the excavations will be allowed to settle for a time before a paving crew returns to place a permanent asphalt cap at each location.

Once these cross drains are replaced, motorists should be alert for a work zone along this same section of KY 94 from time to time through December.  The Fulton County Highway Maintenance Crew will return to this section of KY 94 as weather allows to place liners in some cross drains and do some additional drainage work.  This will require a work zone lane restriction with alternating flow controlled by flaggers.  Appropriate caution is required.
