CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (NewsFirst) — A Chaffee man has been arrested under unusual circumstances.
39-year-old Jared Adam Evans has been accused of going on someone’s property and breaking in a home. According to police documents, Evans broke into a Cape Girardeau home on December 9, 2023.
Evans first knocked and then rang a doorbell. Nobody answered the door. Evans then forced his way into the home. In doing so he damaged the door and door frame.
There was someone home. The person told Evans to leave, and he refused. He told the homeowner that he wanted to take a shower. Police were called and an arrest was made.
