CLINTON, KENTUCKY (NewsFirst) — Timmy Wayne Scott, 59-years-old of McLeansboro, IL, and Joseph Randall Edmaiston, 37-years-old of Clinton, KY, were both sentenced to ten years in federal prison for attempted enticement of a minor. Both men plead guilty.
Law enforcement agents conducted a sting operation last August in which they created online profiles of a 15-year-old girl. They did this in order to find child predators.
Both Smith and Edmaiston interacted with the undercover officers. Both made plans to meet the 15-year-old girl and engage in sexual activities.
The sting operation was conducted in Marion, Illinois.
