MAYFIELD, Ky. — The Mayfield Police Department has successfully apprehended individuals responsible for intentionally causing thousands of dollars in damage to the Kess Creek Park bathrooms.

On November 9th, 2023, officers were alerted to extensive damage in the women’s bathroom at Kess Creek Park, involving the tearing down and removal of metal partitions between the toilets. The estimated cost to replace the damaged property exceeds $2,000.

Utilizing the surveillance camera system installed at the park to deter vandalism, two suspects were identified:

  • Kennedie Mohney, 20, of Mayfield
  • A 14-year-old juvenile

Kennedie Mohney voluntarily turned herself in on December 21st, 2023, following the issuance of an arrest warrant. She was transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center for transfer to another facility for housing. Mohney faces charges of Criminal Mischief 1st Degree, Unlawful Transaction with a Minor 2nd Degree, and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
