MURRAY, KENTUCKY (NewsFirst) — The Murray Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance with locating Deon Howard (28) of Murray, KY. On 12/30/2023, the Murray Police Department responded to a residence in relation to a female yelling for help as she was bleeding. Through investigation, officers learned that Deon Howard had assaulted the female, endangered a young child, and fled as officers approached the area. The investigation also led to the discovery of illegal narcotics as well as illegally possessed firearms. As a result of the investigation, a warrant has been issued for Deon Howard’s arrest for the following charges:
• Endangering the Welfare of a Minor
• Assault 4th Degree (Domestic Violence)
• Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon
• 2 Counts of Fleeing or Evading Police 1st Degree
• Trafficking in Marijuana (8 Ounces to 5 Pounds)
Deon Howard is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. If you see him, do not attempt to make contact with him, but rather contact the Murray Police Department at 270-753-1621 or your local law enforcement agency. Howard also has other pending arrest warrants for a previous shooting where he is wanted for three counts of attempted murder as well as other charges. He is described as being a black male, weighing 150 pounds, and is 5’11.”
