WILLIAMSON COUNTY, ILLINOIS (NewsFirst) — Possession of Methamphetamine

Williamson County, Illinois – On January 3, 2024, at 0025 hours, Williamson County Sheriff’s Office Deputies observed a vehicle traveling eastbound on Andrew Springs Road in Colp when it committed multiple violations of the Illinois Vehicle Code.

A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Ricky L. Monteith.

While speaking with Monteith Deputies observed Dallas A. Woodward in the passenger seat. Woodward had an active Williamson County arrest warrant for Possession of Methamphetamine.

Woodward was taken into custody.

Williamson County Sheriff’s Office K9 “Roxy” was deployed to conduct a free air sniff of the vehicle. K9 “Roxy” alerted to the odor of narcotics coming from the vehicle.

A probable cause search of the vehicle located Methamphetamine on the rear floorboard.

Woodward was arrested and cited for the following:

Possession of Methamphetamine

Woodward was transported to and remanded into the custody of the Williamson County Jail.
