GRAVES CO. – On Friday afternoon at approximately 4:30 PM, sheriff’s deputies located James M. Majors, 42, in a field and wooded area near Usher Road. He was wanted on outstanding arrest warrants for Methamphetamine and other charges.
Despite attempting to flee, Majors was apprehended in a briar patch. Deputy Ben Doran, involved in the apprehension, sustained a hand injury and was later treated at Jackson Purchase Medical Center, receiving stitches.
Majors, a resident of the Farmington area in Graves County, faced additional charges of resisting arrest and fleeing or evading police. He was transported to an out-of-county jail facility.
