WILLIAMSON COUNTY, ILLINOIS (NewsFirst) —
Employee Threatens Co-Workers With Firearm
Williamson County, Illinois – On January 6, 2024, Williamson County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to 10900 Redco Drive, Marion, to the report of a man threatening people with a gun.
As Deputies arrived they observed the suspect fleeing from the scene.
The vehicle was stopped and the driver was identified as Ronald L. Bellamy who stated, “I don’t have no gun on me”.
Bellamy was detained.
A subsequent investigation recovered a Black and Silver Taurus 9mm handgun, two 9mm handgun magazines, and eight rounds of 9mm ammunition.
Bellamy was arrested and cited for the following:
Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon
Aggravated Assault
(two counts)
Bellamy was transported to and remanded into the custody of the Williamson County Jail.
