CAPE GIARARDEAU, MISSOURI (NewsFirst) — The Cape Girardeau police department is reporting the death of two dogs at a residence in the 1100 block of Good Hope Street.
The dogs apparently died because of cold temperatures. The dogs were not properly sheltered.
In addition to the two deceased dogs, six more dogs were found to be without heat and food inside the residence.
All of the dogs were removed from the home and taken to a local shelter.
The investigation is ongoing. Police ask anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact the Cape Girardeau Police Department.
No arrests were made, but the investigation is ongoing.
