KSP Post 2 in Madisonville reports Lela Black has been located and Byron Black is in police custody.
PRINCETON, Ky. (NewsFirst) — The Kentucky State Police (KSP) responded to a call on Friday, January 26, 2024, and investigated the death of Kelly Black, a resident of Princeton, KY. Black, who was the mother of a juvenile, was found with a gunshot wound to the back of her head. The KSP has issued an arrest warrant for the juvenile’s biological father, Byron Black, who is suspected of murdering Kelly Black. The juvenile and Byron Black have not been heard from since Friday, January 26, 2024. The juvenile is believed to be with Byron Black, who is considered armed and dangerous.
The KSP was dispatched to the residence where the juvenile was known to reside in Princeton, KY on January 28, 2024. The investigation is ongoing.
