MAYFIELD, Ky. (News First) – On Tuesday, Mayfield Police responded to a report of three individuals breaking into the concession stand at the baseball fields on North 17th Street. Officers arrived on scene and apprehended two suspects, later locating the third at his residence.
Chip Hester, 26, Anthony Turner, 26, and a 13-year-old juvenile, all from Mayfield, confessed to multiple burglaries at the same location in recent weeks.
Hester was arrested and charged with five counts of third-degree burglary and resisting arrest. Turner was arrested and charged with five counts of third-degree burglary and second-degree fleeing or evading police on foot. The juvenile was charged with four counts of third-degree burglary and resisting arrest and was released to a guardian.
A pickup truck bed full of stolen edible goods, including sodas, meat, and candy, was recovered from a residence on 435 Clark Street, though this detail was not included in the official release. Hester and Turner were transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center before being transferred to Calloway County Jail.
