PADUCAH, Ky. (News First) — On June 12, deputies were dispatched to Duck RV Park on Puryear Drive for a reported theft. The victim stated that a man had taken $2,500 in cash from his residence and fled on foot. The suspect, known to the victim and employed for side jobs around the residence, was still in the area when deputies arrived.

Senior K-9 Deputy Steve Croft observed the suspect running behind a business on John Puryear Drive. Deputy Croft, along with his K-9 partner Oscar, pursued the suspect, who fled into a dense brush area. After several commands from Deputy Croft, the suspect emerged and complied with the officer.
