Dozens of police investigators in Bollinger County were seen searching an area yesterday (Tues, July 23rd) near where a 13-year-old girl disappeared in 1989. Police were digging with heavy machinery behind a home in a remote area 15 miles from Fredericktown, where Gina Dawn Brooks was last seen riding her bike a few blocks from her home at that time. The case was never solved. It’s unclear what case investigators are working on as they refused to speak about yesterday’s search, but neighbors reported waking up to a long line of unmarked police vehicles on the property.
