The New Madrid County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by Bikers Against Predators about an adult male attempting to make a connection with an 11-year-old female on Thursday (July 25th). The Bikers Against Predators is a non-profit organization that works to expose child predators. Deputies responded to the location for investigation.

Deputies made contact with the reporting party who identified the suspect as 30-year-old Kenneth W Rye of Parma, MO. The non profit organization was able to provide documentation of the allegations and Rye was arrested and transported to the New Madrid County Sheriff’s Office for processing and further investigation.

After conducting the initial investigation, a Probable Cause Affidavit was filed with the New Madrid County Prosecutor’s Office. A warrant for Enticement of a Child was issued with a 250,000 dollar cash-only bond. Rye is being held in the Mississippi County Jail on the warrant.

The investigation is ongoing with further charges possible.
