PADUCAH, Ky. (News First) — Officers of the Paducah Police Department are continuing the investigation into a traffic collision that claimed the lives of two motorists.

Officers responded to the crash at the intersection of Lone Oak Road and Jack Paxton Drive. They determined Susan A. Lepisto, 82, of Gilbertsville, Ky., was turning east onto Jack Paxton Drive when she turned into the path of a tow truck driven by Robert W. Grant, 42, of Paducah, Ky. Lepisto and her passenger, Carl D. Lepisto, 83, also of Gilbertsville, were taken by ambulance to Mercy Health Hospital, where they both succumbed to their injuries. Grant was not injured in the collision.

The Collision Reconstruction Team is continuing the investigation. The Paducah Fire Department, Mercy Regional Ambulance Service, and McCracken County Department of Emergency Services assisted on the scene.
