Many will be planning to attend the Caledonia Pumpkin Festival in October but there’s actually an event coming up in September in the historic village. Nina Gilliam helps organize some of the community events and she’s the owner of the Old Village Mercantile, an old-time candy store and the Old Village Hot Dog Shoppe, next door to the candy store. She says Caledonia is getting to become quite the attraction.

And Gilliam describes the latest business venture to open its doors in Caledonia.
The Saturday, September 14th event and the pumpkin festival, scheduled for Saturday, October 12th in Caledonia will both run from 10 until 4 o’clock.
