LESTERVILLE, Mo (News First) – A new school year is now underway at the Lesterville School District. News First stopped by the school earlier this week and we chatted with Superintendent Jeremy Meyers. He says that compared to previous school years, they started this school year a little later than normal.

A couple of varsity sports seasons begin for the Lesterville Bearcats this Friday. The baseball team plays South Iron at home starting at 4:30 and the Lady Bearcat volleyball season opens at home against Viburnum. The first serve is at 5 o’clock. Also, the Lesterville school plans to host their fall festival on Saturday, September 21st.
