LOS ANGELES (News First) – St. Louis City SC rode goals by newcomers Cedric Teuchert and Marcel Hartel to a 2-1 victory over the Western Conference-leading Los Angeles Galaxy on Sunday. Teuchert staked St. Louis City to a 1-0 lead in the 9th minute when he scored his second goal in his third career start and appearance in the league. The Galaxy pulled even in the first minute of the second half when Gabriel Pec took a pass from Miguel Berry and scored with a left-footed shot from the center of the box. It was the 11th goal of the season for Pec and the first assist for Berry. 

St. Louis regained the lead in the 68th minute on Hartel’s first goal in his second start and appearance in the league. City’s next game is Saturday night in Foxboro, Massachusetts at Gillette Stadium against New England. The Revolution have 8 wins, 2 draws and 15 losses. They are 13th out of 15 clubs in the M.L.S. Eastern Conference standings with 26 points. Meanwhile, City’s record sits at 5 wins, 12 ties and 10 losses, good for 27 points and a 12th place tie with the other major league soccer team from Missouri, Sporting K.C.
