FARMINGTON, Mo (News First) – Gas Prices are falling across the nation, but will that trend continue? In their latest podcast about the issue, Gas Buddy’s Sr Petroleum Analyst Patrick De Haan and Co-Host Matt McClain say the trend of falling prices is expected to continue for a while longer.
Right now, across the region, some stations are selling for as low as $2.72 a gallon in western Kentucky. In southeast Missouri, the lowest price point can be found in the Bootheel at $2.56. In southern Illinois, prices are as low as $3.39. De Haan says prices are expected to continue falling for now, but OPEC’s announcement of pausing the production increases may create some hurdles to the price point.
