WEST FRANKFORT, Ill. — The Illinois Department of Transportation announced today that the northbound Interstate 57 exit ramp at Illinois 149 (exit 65) will be closed for approximately five days beginning, weather permitting, Monday, Sept. 23.

Additionally, the southbound I-57 entrance ramp at Illinois 149 (exit 65) is set to close for five days starting Monday, Oct. 7, weather permitting.

These closures are necessary for the construction of two modern roundabouts at the Illinois 149/I-57 interchange, as well as new lighting and drainage improvements.

Drivers are advised to pay close attention to changing conditions and detour signs, obey posted speed limits, avoid using mobile devices, and remain alert for workers and equipment in the area.
