PUCKY HUDDLE, Mo. (News First) – The National Forest Service is not finished with its improvements to the Red Bluff Recreation Area in Pucky Huddle. Becky Ewing works in the Mark Twain National Forest. She tells us what will eventually be on the horizon for the campground in southern Crawford County.
Now would be a great time to camp at Red Bluff as the crowds have thinned out since summer has ended. Ewing says you may get a glimpse of our national bird while you are there.
Ewing says they don’t plan on closing Red Bluff for the season until October 28th. Also on that date, the forest service plans on closing Council Bluff Lake Recreation Area in Iron County, Sutton Bluff Recreation Area in Reynolds County, Silver Mines Recreation Area in Madison County and Marble Creek Campground in Madison County.
