FARMINGTON, Mo. (News First) – Local business owner Joshua Campbell is pulling resources from Southeast Missouri to help residents affected by Hurricane Helene in Tennessee and North Carolina. Campbell, who has ties to Tennessee, is collecting donations through Friday, (Oct 4th) from about 8 am until 2 pm. Campbell said they have been getting a lot of items from the area already, including cleaning supplies and water. A couple of places in Crawford County are delivering bottled water and several individuals from the area will be heading out this week to deliver hay for animals.

Campbell said donations collected this week will be delivered to Tennessee on Sunday with another pickup scheduled around October 12. A final pickup will happen around October 24 for those who want to donate but can’t make it this week. Donated items will be dropped off at God’s Warehouse in Morristown, Tennessee, and hand-delivered by the volunteers of God’s Warehouse to those affected in Tennessee and North Carolina.

Campbell’s friend and Tennessee resident Casey Greenlee said their local community is grateful for the generosity and donations. He said he and Campbell are working with a group to deliver hay to local farmers who need it in affected areas. A lot of farmers lost their hay in the flooding. One farm owner has nearly 600 bales of hay floating in the salty water in their barn.

Items needed include women’s hygiene products, baby formula, food and diapers, new clothes, blankets, jackets, cleaning supplies, toiletries, shovels, non-perishable food, and more.
