JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. (News First) – A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and seriously injured Wednesday morning in Jefferson County. It happened on northbound Highway 67 at Route ‘C-C’. The highway patrol says the pedestrian, 37-year-old Jennifer Gorges of Festus was traveling across the northbound lanes of 67 at ‘C-C’. Gorges failed to clear the intersection and she was struck by the front of a 2006 Dodge Charger driven by 49-year-old Amay Matz of Park Hills. Gorges received serious injuries and had to be taken to Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis.
