Service will run on a reduced schedule while addressing staff shortages
PADUCAH, Ky. – Crittenden County Judge-Executive Perry A. Newcom announced today that the Ohio River Ferry Authority and operators of the Cave-in-Rock Ferry have enacted a temporary schedule that will allow the ferry to resume operations seven days a week beginning this weekend.
Starting on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024, the ferry will begin operating with reduced weekend hours due to staffing concerns. Saturday and Sunday hours will be from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., while on weekdays the ferry will continue to run from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
This schedule will remain in place while the ferry operator seeks to fill job vacancies.
