DENT COUNTY, Mo. (News First) – Montauk State Park remains closed due to flooding. The Missouri Department of Natural Resources and the Missouri Department of Conservation continue working together to remove debris and assess damage to infrastructure, facilities, and resources caused by catastrophic flooding of the Current River on November 5, 2024, in Montauk State Park. USGS determined flood water in the park reached 19.58 feet. Roads are closed around the park’s entrance for crews to use heavy machinery to remove debris.
