The Missouri Department of Conservation says deer hunters harvested 68,312 deer during the opening weekend of the November portion of firearms deer season. Of the 68,312 deer harvested, 42,283 were antlered bucks, 5,105 were button bucks, and 20,924 are does.
Meanwhile in Iron County, the Missouri Department of Conservation through Facebook, says they are actively investigating the killing of a mountain lion by a deer hunter. No other details were released, including what part of the county the mountain lion was killed.
