BOLLINGER COUNTY, Mo. (News First) – Two Arcadia residents are dead after a two-vehicle accident in Bollinger County on Wednesday (Nov 27th). The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident happened on Highway 72, three miles west of Patton when a a 2011 Kia Sorento driven by a 48-year-old Carbondale, Illinois woman crossed the center line and struck a 2002 Ford F-150 driven by a 76-year-old Arcadia male, killing him and his 75-year-old female passenger. The Carbondale woman was taken to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau with serious injuries. The Arcadia driver was pronounced dead at the scene while the passenger was taken to Saint Francis Medical Center where she was later produced dead. This is the 63rd and 64th fatalities for Troop E in 2024.
