JEFFERSON COUNTY MO (News First) – The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department has released the name of the woman found dead Sunday in a suspect’s truck following his arrest. The woman’s name is Clara B. Blaxton. She is 45 years old and is from northeast Arkansas. Police believe Blaxton was in a relationship with the suspect. His name has not been released by police. They say the investigation is now continuing in Arkansas. The way Blaxton died is also still being investigated. The suspect was wounded Sunday morning after exchanging gunfire with police off I-55 and ‘A’ Highway. Police were alerted earlier that morning after receiving a call about gunfire on Veterans Boulevard, in the vicinity of the White Castle Parking lot in Crystal City.
